Written by: Nikhil R., Vinay R., Abhinav S., Aashrita K. Dear DVHS Robotics members and parents, We are approaching the end of the VEX Robotics High Stakes season. Our competitive teams have worked extremely hard throughout the season, with numerous awards being earned from each of our teams. Competitive teams had a strong season. All four teams qualified to the State Championship. 5776K qualified to the World Championship and is preparing for the trip to Dallas! Dev members are making steady progress and are currently building robots for the Over Under game, which was the official VEX Robotics competition for the 2023–2024 season. Alongside building their robots, they are also receiving weekly lessons on various engineering, computer-aided design (CAD), and programming topics. Our annual summer camp is currently open for registration! If you have a child that is an incoming 6th to 9th grader and is interested in engineering, we highly recommend to sign up for our summer camp, where our club's mentors will help guide them over an intensive four-week period on the fundamentals of robotics. Once again, congratulations to 5776K for qualifying to worlds, and we will see them in the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas for the world championship. More information about the trip for parent chaperones will be released soon. If there are any questions about upcoming competitions, club decisions, or general inquiries, please reach out to us through contact@dvhsrobotics.com
